30 out of 41 MW Contracted Power Supply Capacity of SURNECO is Coal Based. Making SURNECO highly vulnerable to any price increase on Fuel Cost. And it is one of the variable power costs that directly affects any changes in effective generation rate of SURNECO. Having direct proportional relationship between fuel cost and effective billing rates, any decrease in fuel cost will result to possible decrease in generation rate.

2. Previous Month Fuel Cost Bill Adjustment by Nickel Asia Corporation.
Last Month, Nickel Asia Corporation made a correction of error on fuel cost computation for the month of August and September 2023 resulting to an adjustment amounting to Php 5,478,606.71 that form part of October 2023 Power Bill and Increase the blended generation cost for the billing month of November 2023. Hence this month such adjustment was not part of the blended generation cost that attribute to over-all decrease in generation cost for the billing month of December 2023.

3. Decrease in Average Cost per KwH on WESM Transaction
Cost of Power in SURNECO WESM Transaction decreased from an average cost Php 6.2974 per kwh for the month of October 2023 to Php 5.1374 per kwh for the month of November 2023. This one of the factors that decrease the blended generation cost for the billing month of December 2023.
